摘    要:E—learning是当今流行的术语,有着广泛的应用前景。但到底什么是E-learning,其说法并不一致。文章分析了E—learning的特征和四种维度,探讨了E—learning设计中四种维度的16种具体组合场景,同时讨论了四种维度的连续和非连续性质。

Abstract:The currently popular term E-learning is shown to have several meanings which confuse discussion about a new technology which is finding widespread international use in a range of educational sectors. This paper analyses the characteristics of E-learning applications, and proposes a set of four design dimensions which could be considered when designing and assessing the suitability of E-learning applications. The applicability of the four proposed dimensions, and their shortcomings, are discussed in detail, and found to be justifiable.
