| 摘 要： | 有些学者对“发明四声”说法提出批评,认为汉语的＂四声＂不是任何人所能发明创造的。然而“发明四声”又被语言学界许多学者所普遍接受并继续使用。这对矛盾是由“发明”的古今词义的不同造成的：“发明”在古汉语中是表“发现”义,在现代则是表“创造”义。因而,在古代“发明四声”说法是正确的,现代学者继续使用“发明四声”则是由于仿古文写作和习惯用法的原因。

| Abstract: | Invention of four tones was criticized by some scholars,because in their opinion,Chinese four tones can not be invented or created by anyone.However,at the same time,invention of four tones is also universally accepted and continues to be used by many scholars.This paper believes that the contradiction is caused by the different meanings of invention in ancient and modern times,and then gives demonstration of the correctness of invention of four tones in specific context. |
