| Abstract: | Facing the transitional period, the local higher education institutions should develop their English inter-preting courses considering the features of their students. Oriented as an introductory interpreting course to develop preliminary and intermediate interpreters, the teachers should highlight the three aspects of reinforcing language base, enriching encyclopedic knowledge, emphasizing interpreting competence and skills, so as to develop application-ori-ented, skill-oriented interpreters. |
