| 摘 要： | 《大学英语教学大纲》明确指出,"大学英语教学的目的是,培养学生具有较强的阅读能力,一定的听,说、写、译能力"。然而长期以来,由于受那些占主流地位的教学流派的影响,教师在大学英语教学中忽视对学生翻译能力的培养,导致学生普遍缺乏基本的翻译技能。针对这一现象,探讨大学英语教学中翻译教学的重要性,以切实提高学生的英语水平和应用能力。

| Abstract: | Translation ability,one of the key English skills to the English learners,has been severely legged behind the other language skills to most of the college students due to the long-term neglect of translation teaching in the college English classes.This paper,by discussing the causes of college students' lack of necessary translation ability,holds that it is significant to have proper translation teaching during the college English classes. |
