| 摘 要： | 英语双关语（pun）是利用语言的同音异义或一词多义现象使一句话产生两种不同的意思，即“一语双关”，从而使语言生动、活泼。双关语在英语中的运用越来越多，表现形式也是越来越丰富多彩。英语双关语蕴含着使用该语言的社会文化，较广泛地应用于各个领域。英语学习者掌握一定的双关语知识，既能增强学习英语的兴趣，也有利于深刻理解英语的幽默，进而提高英美文学欣赏素养及翻译水平。

| Abstract: | Pun is used to suggest two meanings of a sentence by using the word with the same sound but different meaning or the same word but with different meaning. This can make language lively and vivid. Pun is used more and more and in different ways. It implies the social culture of the language used, and is more widely used in various fields. A mastering of some English puns can not only enhance the interest in learning English, but also help the learners understand English humor deeply, enhance exchanges with the other countries, the art of negotiation, and improve the appreciation of English and American Literature and the level of translation. |
