| Abstract: | This paper presents the results of a survey of learning motivation and the effect of teacher variables on tertiary-level students of foreign language learning （FLL）. The analysis, which is based on the qualitative data collected from 108 randomly selected students of three universities, sheds light on the students＇ needs as foreign language learners, especially their preferences concerning the teacher factors which may significantly affect the motivation and achievement of their learning endeavors. |
