| 摘 要： | 汉英两种谚语既具有来源、内涵、修辞手段及基本句式的相似性，又具有句子结构、押韵方式及文化背景的差异性。汉谚语英译既要忠实于原意，又要尽可能保持其生动形象的谚语特色。

| Abstract: | The present article tries to find the differences and similarities between Chinese and English proverbs. There are not only similarities in origin, connotation, rhetorical device and basic sentence pattern, but also differences in structure, rhythm pattern and cultural background. Based on these analyses, the article discusses the methods of translating Chinese proverbs into English. |
