基于MATLAB的车牌识别系统研究

摘    要:为了提高车牌识别准确率,以MATLAB为平台,对车牌识别系统部分算子选择及算法进行调整和优化。在具体处理中,通过灰度拉伸、顶帽变换、二值化等实现车牌预处理,用边缘检测、形态学处理等实现车牌定位,通过多种算法对比选择合适的车牌矫正方法,结合车牌垂直投影法、模板匹配法完成车牌识别系统设计。该系统对车牌识别的准确率由96.5%提升至97.5%,识别效果较好。

Abstract:In order to improve the accuracy and speed of license plate recognition, this design takes MATLAB as a platform to adjust and optimize the selection and algorithm of some operators of license plate recognition system. In the specific treatment, the license plate is pretreated by gray stretching, top-hat transformation and binary processing, and the license plate is positioned by edge detection and morphological treatment. Through various algorithms, appropriate license plate correction methods are selected. The design of license plate recognition system is accomplished by vertical projection method and template matching method. The accuracy of the system recognition license plate is increased from 96.5% to 97.5%. The improved system has a higher recognition rate than the original system.
