认知语言学范畴化理论与英语词汇教学

摘    要:词汇是语言的重要组成部分,对词汇的掌握程度是衡量一个人语言水平的重要标志。如何帮助学生更加有效深刻地学习和掌握英语单词是英语教师的重要任务之一。作为今年来热门的语言学中的一种新范式(paradigm),认知语言学为英语词汇的研究提供了全新的观点和方法。本文从认知语言学角度出发,浅谈对英语词汇的范畴化研究以及对英语词汇教学的一些启示。

Abstract:Vocabulary is an important part of any language, which is also an important standard for evaluating a learner' s language proficiency. One of the English teacher' s important tasks is to help the students learn and master English words efficiently. As a new paradigm of the now more and more popular accepted linguistics, cognitive linguistics provide us with a brand -new perspective and methodology to do research on English vocabulary. This paper tries to find some enlightenment for English vocabulary teaching based on the knowledge of cognitive linguistics.
