| 摘 要： | 鲁迅与史密斯在中国国民性的言论上,既有相同之处,如“中国人爱面子”、“中国人缺乏诚与爱”、“中国人缺乏时间观念”等;又有相并存在,如史密斯只看到了中国社会所表现出来的各种现象,而鲁迅却着到了速成这种社会现象的根源。

| Abstract: | Buth Lu Xun and Arthur Smith have the same opinion about the character of Chinese people.On the one hard,they both think"Chinese are concerned abour face-saving","Chinese lack honesty and love to others","Chinese are short of concept of time",etc.On the other hand ,they have different opinions about the Chinese national character.What Smith saw is only social phenomenon,while what Lu Xun noticed is the roats of causing such social phenomenon. |
