| Abstract: | The paper probes into the inner connection of the painted-pottery art and totem culture according to inquiry and comparison to sort out primitive totem culture. It also reveals that both painted-pottery art and totem worship are revere to animals or plants. The revere existed in clan society. These two elements are in the boundary point of different religion in primitive times. Moreover, they offer a stage to a form of expression of primitive dance. The art of painted-pottery and the totem express natural beauty, Chinese cultural creativity and human natural civilization. |
