| Abstract: | Through analyzing the mechanism that produces the effect of single wave crest benefit from the deregulation, the paper identifies the strategic base of harvesting single wave crest benefit by diversifying into new-opened industries. Based on case studies, the author points out that the key strategy that determines if one can do business successfully in emerging markets is to identify the proper time of entry and exit, to balance between earning the short term benefit by diversification and investing in long term development core competence and competitive advantages, and to go beyond out-of-date experience. |
