| Abstract: | Taking mountain area of west Henan as an example,this paper studies the design methods of rainwater catchment system for agricultural purposes.The system is composed of rainwater catching field and water cellar.The method takes irrigation quota as parameters which are determined according to the characteristics of precipitation and irrigation requirement,and shows the relationships among the area of rainwater catching field,the volume of water cellar and the irrigation quota.In order to popularize the system more conveniently in the mountain area of west Henan province,the area of rainwater catching fields and the volume of water cellars which are needed to irrigate per unit (per hm 2) irrigated area in different places of mountainous west Henan are calculated. |
