| 摘 要： | 自20世纪90年代始，《中国日报》等具有影响力的英语媒体就不断构建各种国内和国际的英语演讲比赛平台，激发了大学生提高英语演讲能力的热情。全国大部分高校开始意识到开设英语演讲课程的重要性和必要性。外语教学与研究出版社在近几年通过举办英语演讲课程教学研修班和学术研讨会等形式，帮助和引导许多高校进行英语演讲课程的开设及教学与科研的探讨。自2008年以来，开设英语演讲课程的高校数量在逐年增长。基于这一现状进行梳理与分析，以期给大学英语教学提供新的视角和启示。

| Abstract: | Since the 1990s, China Daily, Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press, CCTV Sta- tion, English Coaching Paper, and so on have been sponsoring all kinds of nationwide English speaking and debating contests, which has greatly motivated both teachers and students＇ passion of learning Eng- lish and improving oral English and further provided the platform for those excellent ones to compete in the world arena. With the deepening and perfection of English competitions, many colleges and univer- sities have gradually realized the necessity of opening English Public Speaking courses. Foreign Lan- guage Teaching and Research Press has in recent years hosted a series of workshops and symposiums to help and guide the probe in the pedagogical research. Since 2008, there has been an increasing trend in the establishment of the course, which is worth combing and analysis. |
