| 摘 要： | 人们对言语幽默的理解是一个"明示-推理"的关联过程,因此,使用关联理论来准确理解言语幽默是了解幽默的最佳方法。文章以黄西在美国各电视台的幽默话语为语料,分析英语幽默话语成功产生的原因,希望读者可以从此正确的理解并欣赏英语幽默话语,最终使幽默这种形式更好的服务于英语学习。

| Abstract: | The process of verbal humor understanding is considered to be a process of ostensive-in-ferential. Hence, this paper employs Relevance Theory in understanding Dr. Huang Xi＆#39;s verbal humor when he appeared in America TV shows. This paper aims to study the feasibility of applying pragmatic theories to humor analysis and help readers in better understanding humor. |
