| Abstract: | The esterification reaction between isobutyric acid and benzyl alchol catalyzed by FeCl3 is reported in this paper. The conditions for preparing benzyl isobutrate catelyzed by various chlorides are investigated. It is proved that FeCl3 is the best catalyst. |
