英汉语篇衔接的对比研究及对大学英语教学的启示

摘    要:衔接是创建连贯篇章所必不可少的一方面。英汉语篇衔接手段存在显著差异,英语重形合,较多使用外显衔接手段,而汉语重意合,较多使用内容及语义上的隐性衔接手段。在此基础上提出的大学英语衔接教学,旨在提高非英语专业学生的语篇理解和表达能力,更好地避免英语作为母语的负迁移影响。

Abstract:Cohesion plays an important part in creating the coherent language.There is significant differences in discourse cohesive strategies between English and Chinese languages.English is hypotaxis-prominent,featured with the use of explicit cohesive devices,while Chinese is parataxis-prominent,featured with the use of implicit ones for the combination of the content and meaning.College EFL teaching on cohesion and ways of cultivating students’ cohesive strategies,which is put forward on this basis,aims at enhancing Non-English-Major EFL Students’ ability of discourse understanding and expression,and avoiding the negative influence of mother tongue.
