| 摘 要： | 在中国古代文明起源的研究中，礼制十分重要。分封制是周代重要的礼制之一，也是三代国家成熟性的代表制度。如若追溯中国古代的国家文明起源，要追溯及氏族部落的形成分化重组和赐姓命氏制度等，这都与周代分封制之前的早期分封具有密切联系。如何把部落氏族制下众多分立的、大小强弱相悬的部落邦族，改造为周代五等爵制那样统一集中的等级制诸侯封国体制，是早期分封出现以来始终在追求的目标。对中国古代国家文明起源的探索，就包括在对早期分封的剖析观察中。所谓普遍原理及酋邦等概念，都只能作这种研究的参考。真正要解决中国古代的国家文明起源问题，还必须到中国古代所传下、与所谓封建、分封等相关的概念或文献记载中去钩稽考索，才能取得切实的答案。
