| Abstract: | This paper investigates the development of a spoken English test.The nature of speaking test and its design principles are first reviewed.Then the procedure of the test development is elaborated in detail,namely,design stage,construction stage and try out stage.The challenges facing the development of spoken test are finally discussed. |
