道教神仙美学思想初探

摘    要:在许多人的观念中,仙之“美”应该首先在长生不死,其实不然,从各朝著名仙真高道的生卒年岁,即可窥见一斑;还有观点认为仙之“美”在无所不能,其实不然,从死后才被拉入仙班关羽一例,则无可置疑地否定了这一点。此外,还有人将仙之“美”与“美在上帝”作比,其实二者之美殊异巨大。道教认为仙人乃是由凡人修真而来,既如此,便不难理解所谓“仙格美”,本质上其实还是“人格美”。

Abstract:To many people' s understanding, the "beauty" of immortals first lies in that they will live forever and never die. However, the birth and death dates of famous immortals and Taoist priests in former dynasties of China reveal that this undestand- ing is false. Some people believe that the "beauty" comes from the immortals' almighty power. But this belief can be denied by the fact that many immortals were not classed with Guan Yu ( a general in the Three Kingdom Period) as supernatural beings until they died. There are also some people compare immortals' "beauty" with "the beauty of God", but the beauty of the two share no similarity. In Taoism, immortals are believed to rise from ordinary people who cultivate themselves through doctrines, so it is not hard to understand that the so-called "immortal's beauty" is essentially the "beauty of personality".
