| 摘 要： | 介词（PREPOSITION）是用于名词词组或相当于名词词组的结构之前,表示词语之间意义关系的词类.英语介词繁多,用法各异,本文就英语介词的抽象意义的理解和用法在三个方面进行分析,认为它既具有动词的功能,又具有比较＂意义和否定＂的表达法.英语介词的抽象用法是一种很重要的修饰手法,它能使英语语言简练而生动形象,含蓄而抽象难懂.英语学习者在学习过程中要根据介词上下文的理解、搭配关系、逻辑推理而得其义.

| Abstract: | Used before noun phrases or noun structures,a preposition expresses the relation between words.There are many prepositions in English,the uses of which express different meanings.This paper analyses the understanding and the uses of the abstract meanings of the prepositions in three parts:prepositional phrase used as a verb;the function of comparison and negative expression.The use of the abstract meaning is a very important rhetoric which makes the language accurate, clear-cut,vivide and forceful Therefore English learners should pay attention to the contextual meaning,the set phrases and the logical reference to obtain the real meaning from the context. |
