| 摘 要： | 乡镇图书馆是我国公共图书馆事业的组成部分，可是长期以来由于管理体制和其他方面的原因，其发展存在严重不平衡和停滞不前的现象。文章就乡镇图书馆在建设社会主义新农村应发挥重要作用为主线，以改善广大农民的文化生活状况为目标，阐述了几种乡镇图书馆服务模式及其保障机制。
