| 摘 要： | 中西方都有自己独特的文化,而"面子"观是文化的重要方面之一。由于东西方对面子的认识、关注程度以及处理面子问题的方式不同,常给双方带来交流上的困难甚至误解。文章通过对东西方"面子"的比较和分析,探讨了不同文化背景下面子观的差异及其文化价值观以及东西方维护面子的不同方略,从而让交际者在交际过程中更加深入了解面子观,提高人们对社会文化和社会语言差异的敏感性,以减少由面子引起的文化冲突,同时从东西方文化的相互融合中受益。
