| Abstract: | From the Eastern Han Dynasty to the Northern and Southern Dynasties, changes took place in the quality of theancient Chinese language and there appeared many new words and syntactical structures. Yan's Family Admonitions waswritten in this period and it presents the development of poysyllabic words. |
