| 摘 要： | 校训作为一种对广大师生的劝说艺术,同样具有修辞的三要素:信誉诉诸、情感诉诸和逻辑诉诸。在校训的英译中,译者不仅要忠实再现原文的语义,还要用最恰当的表达来再现原文的语言美。

| Abstract: | University motto is also a kind of persuasive art,which possesses the same three elements of rhetoric,namely,ethos,pathos and logos.In the C-E translation of university mottos,translators are required to reproduce the semantic meaning as well as the linguistic beauty of the source text with the most equivalent expressions. |
