| Abstract: | Virginia Woolf, as a famous British female writer, is regarded as the forerunner of the modernist lit- erature. Her masterpiece, To the Lighthouse is a wonderful stream - of - consciousness novel with ＂ significant form＂, contrasting female figures and clues. Thus, Woolf＇s pursuit of harmony and balance in her life and works is presented. |
