| Abstract: | The necessary and sufficient condition of two lines in space being non-coplanar and the distance be-tween those two lines are discussed when the one of two lines is of symmetric equation and the other general .By the use of vector operation , the corresponding conclusions are obtained and a new formula for calculating the distance between two non-coplanar lines deduced . |
