摘    要:现代远程教育适应教育大众化与终身化趋势,在全球迅速兴起,且在我国方兴未艾。现代远程教育作为教育的一个重要组成部分,既是一项社会事业,又具有产业性质;既要遵循教育规律,又要遵循产业规律,即引入市场机制。中国现代远程教育有着巨大的发展空间,但敢面临日益剧烈的国际竞争,必须积极进行市场开发。现代远程教育的发展需要巨额的资金投入和先进的IT技术平台,这有赖于学校与信息产业部门、企业之间的合作。

Abstract:Modern distance education, adapting to the popular and lifelong trend of education, is on the upgrade in both China and the world. As an important part of education, modern distance education is a social cause that has industrial nature, is which both the laws of education and the laws of industry should be followed and the market mechanism should be introduced. There is much room for the development of modern distance education in China.However, facing the intense international competition, we should exploit the market actively. The development of modern distance education needs large amounts of investment and advanced IT technology platform. It also depends on the cooperation between schools and departments of information industry and enterprises.
