| Abstract: | Based on 1998 ALISE Statistical Report and a survey conducted in China, this paper comparatively analyses the age categories, tide ranks, doctoral degrees held and the disciplinary background of the faculty at IIS schools in China and US. Identifies the differences, the reasons for the differences and the experience for reference for LIS faculty development in China. |
