| 摘 要： | 抽象词越来越多地渗透于各种文体,如新闻体、公文体、小说体等,已经成为现代英语的一个显著特点.这些抽象词意义和用法有不少特殊之处,成为读者在英语学习、英译汉和英美报刊阅读过程中的极大障碍.舍通俗、求时髦,舍具体、求抽象,这是现代英语(特别是英美报刊)在抽象词使用方面的几个鲜明特点.这些用词特点决定了研究现代英美报刊中抽象词的语义特征和学习抽象词的有效方法,具有重要的现实意义.

| Abstract: | One of the greatest features of current English is the preference of abstract words over concrete words.The abstract words can be easily found in news report,officialese and fiction,which will cause difficulties for English learning,English-Chinese Translating and English newspaper reading.There are some obvious features for abstract words in current English newspapers.Based on these features,it has a very important significance to study semantic features and the effective methods in reading English newspapers. |
