| 摘 要： | 《印中搜闻》（1817—1822）是伦敦会来华传教士马礼逊和米怜在马六甲创办的一份英文期刊。作为刊物的实际负责人,米怜独力承担起刊物的编辑、出版和经营等诸多工作。尽管发行时间不长,但《印中搜闻》以其独特的视角和丰富的内容,不但成为西方海外传教士相互沟通的媒介与平台,而且为近代西方了解、认识中国提供了大量资料。

| Abstract: | The Indo-Chinese Gleaner （1817-1822） is the first English newspaper published in Malacca. It was created by Robert Morrison and William Milne. As the actual executive, Milne took the full responsibility of the edition, publication and circulation of the newspaper alone. Although The Indo-Chinese Gleaner did not last a long time, based on its unique perspective and rich contents, it had not only become the medium of the communication between overseas missionaries, but also a main source of learning and understanding China. |
