| 摘 要： | 古典名著《红楼梦》金陵判词中就运用了不少典故,这些典故包含了丰富的中国历史、文学及社会知识,意义隐讳又具有典型的中国文化特征,如何通过翻译传达其内在的隐含意义,同时又尽量保留原文的风格和文化韵味一直是典故英译中的一大难题。本文通过介绍目的论及其主要观点,指出目的论对《红楼梦》金陵判词中的典故英译具有很强的阐释力,可以引导读者来分析和理解《红楼梦》两个英译本中译者是如何跨越金陵判词中典故英译时存在的障碍的。
