| 摘 要： | 伏尔泰与孟德斯鸠中国观的主要分歧在于:中国是开明君主制国家还是专制国家;中国的伦理道德是理想社会的基础还是专制暴政的纠偏器;中国人的品行是诚实有礼的还是狡诈的。伏尔泰和孟德斯鸠对中国问题的不同看法,是由他们各自的政治观点和学术立场决定的。

| Abstract: | The major differences of the China views between Voltaire and Montesquieu,as the author sees it,are as follows: first of all,Voltaire held that the Chinese Empire was "Enlightened Absolutism",but Montesquieu insisted that the Chinese Empire was a "Despotism";secondly,they argued that whether the Chinese ethics and morality were the basis of the Chinese "Ideal State" or rather the "Corrector" to be against the tyranny of absolutism;thirdly,Voltaire and Montesquieu are different in valuing the Chinese moral character as to whether it is honest,or polite or cunning.To sum up,the author believes that the different views on China between Voltaire and Montesquieu are largely decided by their own political values and academic stands. |
