| Abstract: | The important roles of population in learning and applying sports statistics was discussed in this paper followed by a conclusion that the key factor in improving the level of sports statistics application in China lay in a correct understanding of the statistical population. It was then suggested that population should be regarded in textbooks of sports statistics as a clue to the study of statistical ideas and methods as well as its applicatiion. |
