| 摘 要： | 霍小玉不是妓女,而是被封建贵族遗弃的贵族,是正逐步融入市民阶层的城市贵族;霍小玉的悲剧与社会与时代固然有关系,而直接和主要的责任还是在于李益个人,其所以负心,主要是缘于软弱和自私。小说的主题是在男女情感的视域下,探讨什么是"丈夫(男人)"和怎样去做"丈夫(男人)"的问题,旨在教谕文人士子们:女子本性柔弱、痴情而善良,为女子所倾心的文人才士务须珍视她们的爱,对她们的爱负责任,随意作践和伤害她们和她们的爱,到头来不仅害人也会害己。《霍小玉传》的思想价值,一是揭露了封建文人轻视和践踏妇女的罪恶,反映了封建时代一部分进步文人的自我反省和自我批判精神;二是揭示了"礼"与"情"的矛盾冲突,反映了礼教害人的残酷现实;三是揭示了市民阶层对现实社会的一定超越,反映了唐代市民思想解放的程度;四是揭示了封建社会对事实婚姻的漠视,反映了"始乱终弃"悲剧不断上演的社会根源。
