| Abstract: | The Semantic Web is the general name of a series of new Web technologies. Based on the analysis of background of Semantic Web, the important research value, the discussion in the Semantic Web model approved by the researchers of Semantic Web, the current research situation of Semantic Web in W3C organization and in the Semantic web research fields are analyzed. The further research works and future direction of basic research and application study of Semantic Web are summarized. This paper indicated that the basic research should mostly include the development of ontology, the formal semantics of Semantic Web language and the development of Trust and Proof Model. The applications should focus on webpage search engine and digital library based on semantics. |
