非英语专业哈萨克族学习者英语学习动机调查

摘    要:本文采取高一虹等设计的Likert—scale五级星表问卷的方法考察了哈萨克族学习者的英语学习动机。笔者用SPSS统计软件对数据进行了对比分析和相关性分析。研究表明非英语专业哈萨克族学习者有较强的内在兴趣动机和出国动机;同时,他们的英语学习动机对英语水平有显著影响。

Abstract:This paper presents an investigation on the motivation in English learning among the Kazak and Han Chinese Non-English-Majors.60 learners participated the study.The study was carried out by means of Likert-scale questionnaire designed by Gao et al(2003) and the data were collected and processed by SPSS 13.0.The results of the thesis show that Non-English-Major Kazak college students are mainly motivated by intrinsic interest and personal development,while the Han learners are highly motivated by immediate achievement,then by learning situation,going abroad,social responsibility and information medium;meanwhile,English proficiency and motivations are closely related to each other,they have significant effects on each other.Those who were below the level of Band 4 had higher immediate achievement motivation than the Band 4 group,but their intrinsic interest was lower than the Band 4 group.
