| Abstract: | With the development of computer and network technology at very fast speed, corpus linguistics emerged as one of the new linguistic study areas and means. This paper first explains what corpus linguistics is, then introduces the development and the present situation of English corpus, finally discusses how it can be applied to teaching English, and some of the issues involved. |
