| Abstract: | Pragmatic presupposition is an important topic in the pragmatic research. It plays a very significant role in speech communication. The article mainly discusses and analyzes the basic features of pragmatic presupposition and briefly explores and explains pragmatic presupposition from the corner of cognitive linguistics by exploiting Idealized Cognitive Model. Finally the article holds the idea that it is possible to study pragmatic presupposition from the cognitive point of view. |
