摘    要:《牡丹亭》的传统诠释在于“以情抗理”,这一诠释并未彻底突破《西厢记》的言情模式;它往往突出了杜丽娘一线,而视其它情节的掺入为零乱、散漫、抵牾……实际上,《牡丹亭》是一个不可或缺的整体。从传奇的结构及其人物体系来看,一部《牡丹亭》A是在杂乱无序中,以“阴阳两界”、“花园内外”为转轴,建构了一个精致的二元世界:男性与女性、情与非情。二者间的矛盾统一突出了男性主体对传统(男性)价值体系既肯定又否定的态度,以及由此产生的执著、愤懑、荒谬、空幻的情感历程。《牡丹亭》由此成为折射时代意蕴最精致的文本

Abstract:It is a traditional argument that one motif in the Peony Pavilion, a famous Ming dynasty play by Tang -clan-in, is "criticizing reason with passion". This interpretation does not get rid of the model of popular love-story, such as Xi xiang ji, another famous play in ancient China. This conclusion results from the emphasis on the plots of Du Li-niang,and interpretation of other plots as confused and contradictory in terms of the whole text. In fact, however, Peony Pavilion is an integral piece. After analyzing the structure and the characterization of the play, it can be shown that through the disorder and disconnecion that the play elaborately constructs a binary world of femininity and masculinity, passion and passionlessness, with the garden inside and outside, the worlds yin and yang. The contradiction and unity of the two worlds highlights the male subject's positive and negative attitude to their traditional values, and his experience of commitment, discontent, absurdity and disillusion. Hence, Peony Pavilion is a mirror of the ages.
