| Abstract: | Motivation, conception and strategies are the three controllable elements that have a direct effect on English learning. By having Vocabulary Contests among the students, the author aims to find ways to increase the learners' interest in English, actively improve their motivation, change their conception and teach them efficient study strategies, and thus eventually enlarge their vocabulary. |
