| 摘 要： | 普通本科院校开设专业英语的目的是帮助学生掌握所学专业英语的基本术语和表达方法，提高从事相关专业工作或进一步学习运用专业英语的能力．因此，专业英语课堂教学的主要内容应以专业词汇和术语为主．在此基础上，围绕某些主题，进行适量的口语和翻译练习，以培养学生运用英语知识提高专业水平的能力．根据普通本科院校学生的特点及其专业培养目标，结合相关教学实践，对普通本科院校地理科学专业英语教学作了系统探讨．

| Abstract: | The aims of specialized English teaching in ordinary colleges and universities are to help students to grasp basic terms and expressing methods of specialized English, and improve the ability to do related professional work and using specialized English. So, specialized words and terms should be the main contents of specialized English class teaching. Based on this, according to some topic, let students do appropriate amount of oral and translating exercises in order to train students＇ability to use English knowledge to improve professional level. According to the characteristics of the ordinary. colleges and universities students and their educational goals, and combining interrelating teaching practice, systematically discuss the English teaching of specialized geography in ordinary colleges and universities. |
