| 摘 要： | 推崇个人主义的社会文化土壤,孕育了美国人的自传情结并生产出具有美国特色的各种自传文本。该文按照时间纵轴叙述了美国自传的萌芽、发展、繁盛、转变和前景,并沿着时间横轴阐释了不同时期美国自传的不同特点以及特定时期的经典文本和文本之间的传承。美国黑人自传既自成一派,又与主流自传的发展相辅相成,尤其是玛雅.安吉罗系列自传。安吉罗的六本系列自传既继承了黑人自传的优秀传统,同时又颠覆了美国传统自传派别,从而成为美国当代“生命写作”自传模式的杰出文本。当代美国自传的另一特征是“销售自我”,其典型文本是克林顿的《我的生活》和希拉里的《亲历历史》。
