| Abstract: | American literature(AL),as a key course for English majoring students,is fairly useful to probe deeply into the sources of the English learning by means of correct theory.According to Horatius,the literary theory can merely sharpen the knife even though it can not cut anything as a "whetstone".Therefore,it is very significant to study AL on the basis of theory in today's university education. |
