| 摘 要： | 插入成分能突出科技文体的特点，在科技英语中普遍存在。但它造成的不寻常的语序在很大程度上干扰了读者对文章的阅读理解，为了准确获取文章的信息，必须正确识别出并分析文章中的插入成分。文章首先确定了欲讨论的插入成分的范畴，并在此基础上，分析其所实现的四种语法功能。然后较为透彻地研究了插入成分的翻译。

| Abstract: | Parenthesis is one the most protruding features of EST. As an effective feature, however, it brings together many difficulties for readers to understand Because of the special order in the sentence. It is therefore extremely necessary to identify parenthesis in EST. The current paper first states the scope of the research and then discusses the four grammatical functions of parenthesis, The ways of translating it are thoroughly investigated in the end. |
