| 摘 要： | 小说《了不起的盖茨比》中运用了大量的象征手法。本文通过对小说中该手法的分析阐释了主人公盖茨比所代表的"美国梦"的破灭,所谓的"美国梦"本身就是一个理想,只不过这一理想主义已变得岌岌可危了,最后终于在一个理想沦落、贪得无厌、物欲横流的世界中荡然无存了。
