| 摘 要： | 本文从象征手法的视角对莎士比亚作品《威尼斯商人》中的人物象征、背景象征和物体象征进行探讨。剧中成功地运用象征手法把抽象的理念带入日常生活中的人、背景和物体等，使这些文学作品的构造要素象征化而获得显著象征力的意象，成为可以传达抽象理念的载体，成功地表达了本来不能直接表达的、不便表达的东西(当时封建社会思想的制约)。该剧独到之处表现出莎士比亚娴熟的艺术技巧。同时这些象征在刻划人物真实、丰富性方面、在表达和深化作品主题、加强结构及增强诗剧意境方面具有特别重要的意义。

| Abstract: | The paper studies the symbols of the characters and the scenes and the objects in Shakespeare's play The Merchant of Venice from the angle of view of symbolism.Symbolism is successfully used in the play to bring abstract ideas to characters,scenes and objects in daily life,which makes the structural elements of the work symbolizing and obtain imagery with notable symbolism and become carriers of abstract ideas,which successfully express ideas that cannot be expressed directly,by which Shakespeare's excellent artistic skill is shown.In addition, these symbols are of great significance in the vivid protrayal of the play's characters,the deepening of the theme,the strengthening of the well-knitted structure and the artistic conception. |
