摘    要:汤显祖的《牡丹亭》是明代剧坛首屈一指的巨作,它是以明代话本小说《杜丽娘慕色还魂》为蓝本的,杜丽娘是故事的主角,对杜丽娘形象的刻画关系到剧作的命运。汤显祖以发展的眼光关注杜丽娘的情感发展历程,并以点石成金的大手笔使杜丽娘的性格鲜活丰满起来。总之,《牡丹亭》中杜丽娘形象的再塑造使得剧作的思想性和艺术性提升到了话本不可食及的新高度。
