| Abstract: | Oedipus Rex,which was created by Sophocles,is a famous tragedy.Although Oedipus in this play tries very hard to find his origin and self-identity,it is not necessarily the reason for his downfall.The real reason he was so tragic is that he had no control of himself,making things worse by his arrogance,ostentation and fierce-temptation and therefore inevitably fulfilled his fate no matter how hard he tries to escape. |
