英语专业学生产出性词汇发展的实验研究

摘    要:通过对英语专业学生的产出性(口语)词汇的实证调查表明:受试者在大学的英语学习过程中不断扩大产出词汇。词类、词标和词汇密度三类指标连续上升;词频概貌的发展体现在第一个最常用的1000词目,第二个最常用的1000词目和3000以外的词目,在0.05的置信水平上,3000以外词目的增长有显著意义,但第三个最常用的1000词目指标的结果呈非连续性的发展趋势;词汇变体的结果在下降之后微弱上升。

Abstract:This paper sets out to investigate into the development of English majors' productive vocabulary. The results indicated that the subjects expanded their productive vocabulary during their English learning at the university. This was evidenced by their consistent increase of word tokens, word types and lexical density?The index of lexical levels profile manifested its improvements on the first 1000 word level, the second 1000 word level and the beyond 3000 word level. Significant differences were found in the beyond 3000 word level, which is significant at the 0.05 levels. While the development tendency of the third 1000 word level was inconsistent. As for lexical variation, a very slight progress took place after a sliding back.
